Spriggs Of Faith Ministries

Our beliefs concerning the Bible:

  • We believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God. (Psalm 33:4; Psalm 119:160)
  • We believe that nothing should be added or taken away from the Bible and that it is a complete representation of God’s word to His people. (Deuteronomy 4:2, Deuteronomy 12:32; Revelation 22:18)
  • We believe that the Bible is the Living Word of God and is as relevant today as it was the day it was written.  (Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 1:23)
  • We believe that the Bible is full of teaching that can transform the lives of those who live by it. (Hebrews 4:12; 2 Tim 3:16-17; Psalm 119:105)

Our beliefs concerning God:

  • We believe there is one God that is represented in three persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; Matthew 3:16-17; John 14:26
  • We are a Christ-centered ministry and believe that we should love God with our hearts, soul, and mind. (Matthew 22: 37; Luke 10: 27; Mark 12: 30)
  • We believe God is relational and desires an intimate relationship with His children. (1 Peter 5:6-7; 2 Corinthians 5: 17-18; 1 Peter 1:3-5; Psalm 103: 13-14)

Our beliefs concerning Jesus:

  • We believe that Jesus is the Son of God. (Psalm 2:7; Hebrews 1:5; Mark 1:11)
  • We believe He was born of immaculate conception to Mary. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25)
  • We believe He was both fully God and fully man. (John 10:30; Colossians 2:9; John 1:14; 1 Timothy 3:16)
  • We believe He is sinless. (1 Peter 2:22; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 John 3:5)
  • We believe He died on the cross to bear the sins of all mankind to allow restoration between God and man. (John 3: 16, 1 John 3:5; 1 Peter 2:24)
  • We believe He rose again on the third day and is alive today and seated at the right hand of God. (Matthew 20:17-19; Revelation 1:17-18; Mark 16:19)
  • We believe He will come back again someday to take all God’s children home. (Acts 1:11; Revelation 1:7; John 14:3)

Our beliefs concerning Salvation:

  • We believe that salvation is a gift of grace, given to those who trust in Christ Jesus alone and that there is nothing we could do to earn it. (John 11:25; Roman 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8)
  • We believe that salvation is more than just going to heaven when we die, but the development of an intimate relationship with the God of the universe. (John 17:3; Ecclesiastes 3:11)
  • We believe when we trust in Christ for our salvation, we are adopted into the family of God and we are beneficiaries of Jesus’ inheritance.  (1 Peter 1:3-5; Ephesians 1:5; Galatians 4: 7-9)
  • We believe in the security of the believer and that while we cannot earn salvation, we also cannot lose our salvation once we have chosen to accept it from God. (John 10:28-29; Ephesians 4:30)

Our beliefs concerning Heaven:

  • We believe that heaven is a place that God prepares for His people to live with Him eternally. (John 14:2; Isaiah 65:17)

Our beliefs concerning Sin:

  • We believe all have sinned and fallen short of the expectation of God. (Romans 3:23; Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:10)
  • We believe that there is nothing we can do to fix our sinful hearts. (John 8:34; Proverbs 5:22; Ephesians 2:1)
  • We believe the only hope for restoration with God is trusting in Christ for our salvation. (Deuteronomy 30:3-13; 1 John 5:4; Ephesians 2: 1-10)
  • We believe that the only solution to sin is the work of the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 2:1-10)

Our beliefs concerning the Transforming work of the Holy Spirit

  • We believe that the Holy Spirit lives inside of all those who have trusted Christ as their Lord and Savior. (1 Corinthians 3:16; Romans 8:9; E[jesoams 1:13-14)
  • We believe that the Holy Spirit works inside of Christians to transform them to become more and more like Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17; Ezekiel 36:26; Romans 12:2)
  • We believe that Christians are all called to use the gifts giving to them by the Holy Spirit to love others and to share the Gospel. (1 Corinthians 12; Luke 11:13; Acts 2:38-39)
